Alden just opened a new center offering memory care assisted living services in Shorewood. The Herald News and the Bugle Newspapers (Shorewood Sentinel, Joliet Bugle and Plainfield Enterprise) reported about Alden Courts of Shorewood, which included information from Annette Borkcy, RN, who is the administrator at Alden Estates of Shorewood, which specializes in post-acute rehab.

“We will provide assisted living services for people living with memory loss and will also offer rehabilitation services exclusively for individuals with memory care issues,” said Borcky, whose Alden Estates community is located next door on the Alden of Shorewood campus off Black Road. “Our memory care model is unique in ensuring the safety, security and comfort of our memory care residents if their health care needs ever change.”

Alden Courts of Shorewood will offer private rooms, three different neighborhoods based on levels of care, and a staff specially trained and licensed to assist people living with memory loss.

“We look forward to serving the people of Shorewood and surrounding areas with the very best in memory care,” Borcky said. “All people deserve compassion and the ability to age with dignity and grace. That’s why we will provide a holistic approach to quality care and services to help individuals with memory care issues continue to lead lives of purpose and joy at Alden Courts of Shorewood.”

Recently, Alden Courts of Shorewood had a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate its grand opening, which was covered by the Plainfield Enterprise and the Herald News.
